CMP sanctioned Clinic Fee – $10 probably needs to increase
Cookout lunch if desired – $8 definitely needs to increase
Afternoon sanctioned CMP/GSM Match Fee- PMRPC members – $15 / non-members – $20 may increase
Participants may choose to attend any or all of the 3 events.
7:30 a.m. Sign-in. Clinic begins at 8:00.
Clinic will follow the format as designed by the CMP for shooters to be able to safely participate in CMP/GSM Rifle Matches. Participants will receive a student guide book to keep, and a CMP certificate of achievement upon clinic completion. Clinic will include position & dry fire practice on the firing line. There will be no live firing during the clinic.
12:00 p.m. Cook out lunch at the pole barn – Grilled hot dogs & brats, sides and drinks.
1:00 p.m. CMP Sanctioned GSM Rifle Match. CMP Course A – 35 shot format.
There are 4 as-issued rifle categories in the match, bring & shoot whichever you’d like:
1) M1 Garand, 2) Springfield – 1903 & 1903A3, 3) Vintage Rifle – Includes US M1917 & US Krag, and foreign vintage military bolt rifles, 4) Modern Military Rifle – AR 15 – fixed and collapsible stock, M1A.
Ammunition: Bring a minimum of 35 rounds for the match.
*We will be using the Club’s electronic scoring targets, so bring a tablet/device for wi fi connection.
*Rifles are to be encased and have an open chamber indicator inserted at all times, until instructed to remove on the firing line.
*Shooting gear – Bring eye & ear protection, and whatever gear you have for position shooting at 200 yards. Sling, glove, mat, coat or sweatshirt, spotting scope & stand, etc. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything, there will be equipment available to borrow. Bring water & lite snacks if desired
